PROJECT: Wallpaper reconstruction for Glebe Gallery, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal (IRL)
JANUARY 2026

A strip of wallpaper found in an upstairs bedroom was used to reconstruct the complete wallpaper of this extraordinary Regency House, once the home of painter Derek Hill.

The interior is left exactly as how Mr. Hill presented the house - - and the exuisit art collection - to the Irish State.

The wallpaper is a digital reproduction from the original one. I removed the stains and discoloration of the cellulose paper, but maintained the irregular look of the rotation print. The pattern was printed onto a fibrous substrate with a matte look that is very close to the original paper.
