PRESS: On the cover of ‘Inzoemen’ magazine

During a visit to the Heritage Library of Bruges, Margot Billiet got inspired by the Decorated Papers used for the 18th and 19th century almanac covers. Diving deeper in the subject she discovered those papers were also used to decorate boxes, furniture and even functioned as wallpapers!
From that first research Atelier Billiet created a series of contemporary decorative papers and postcards that are now selling at the Handmade in Brugge shop. The Library of Bruges invited Margot Billiet for an interview for their monthly magazine Inzoemen, which can now be read here (in Dutch).

For Atelier Billiet the research continues, as Margot wants to explore the techniques used for the early decorated papers dating back to early 17th century.
